Rosses Anglers Safety Policy

•Club safety log must be signed prior to fishing

•Life jackets must be worn at all times

•Glasses are recommended to protect eyes

•Standing in boats is prohibited while fishing or when engine is in motion

•All seating must be totally secured to boat

•No loose seating across gunwhales

•Maximum of three people per boat

•No wading while shore fishing

•Please look out for eroded ground while shore fishing

•Please be alert for overhead electric cables while casting

•Please be alert to other anglers while casting

•Please follow all instructions from safety officer or committee member

•Always take due care and attention while operating engine, always having due consideration for other boats

•The safety officer has full authority to prohibit people from fishing if it is in his/her opinion that the person is a danger to themselves or to others

•In the event of bad weather please be prepared to leave the lake

RULES OF COMPETITION

1.Entry Fee €70, competition limited to 60 anglers therefore early entries
with fee advised to guarantee place.
2.Draw for boat partners and lakes.
3.Anglers to fish Loughanure and Dungloe or Tully lakes over 2 days.
4.Bag limit of 4 fish each day. Loughanure 9” limit, Dungloe/Tully 8” limit.
5.Undersize fish will disqualify catch for day so please measure twice.
6.Combined weight over both days will decide winners.
7.Brown trout only will be weighed. Killing sea trout also disqualifies catch.
8.TROLLING WILL CARRY DISQUALIFICATION.
9.The Committee’s decision is final.
10.All anglers to assemble at Dungloe lake by 10.30am on Sat 10th.
11.In the interests of health & safety and to avoid congestion, anglers fishing Loughanure lake must take the complimentary shuttle bus from boat house at Tully to lake. No vehicles to be parked at lake.
12.Weigh in to be held in Midway Bar, Dungloe.
13.Soup and sandwiches served before weigh in on both days.
